Hi, I have a terriable small coming from under my kitchen sink ( in the cupboards) I have cleaned out all the pipes which came to nothing as there was no blockages. Today I had a plumber out but he couldn't find anything just told me that there were no blockages ( I already knew that and I don't know much about plumbing) the smell seems to appear when its raining don't seem to smell anything when its dry, I have tried all the drain cleaners, soda's but again it still there. Any help to what it could be.. please be simply I am a women and me and plumbing don't seem to get on well lol

Describe the smell. Is the smell anywhere else but under the sink? The humidity in the air when it rains tends to make smells and sewer gas sink lower. Is it worse in one spot? Smells and noises are our toughest problems if we're not there to check for ourselves. We depend on you to give us enough details to work with. Can you give me any more> Regards, Tom

vile is maybe the best word to be honest its unbearable, its only underneath the sink that we get the smell, as I said its only when its been raining heavy that it comes through.

Does it smell like a dead critter? Sewer gas? Since rain makes smells descend could it be coming from someplace above? Cheers, Tom

It does smell like sewage , as for someplace above its my bedroom above the kitchen . Its more apparent when you open the doors to the cupboards underneath the sink which made me think that it was the pipes!

For pipes to smell there has to be a opening somewhere. Any moisture around the joints? Is the smell worse up near the top? Could you have a dead mouse umder the cabinet floor? I'm as stumped as you are. Cheers, Tom
