I created a powerpoint presentation with 20 pictures and captions. It takes 1/2 hour to open. I have a new MacBook and need to know how to compress the files to make what I have created usable. Do I have to start over? If so, how do I begin? If I can use what I've already created, how do I compress it?

Thanks

People import FULL size photos into PowerPoint all the time, a classic error.

I use a free graphic utility called IrfanView (IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide (http://www.IrfanView.com)). Along with being an AWESOME viewer, one of its hidden little capabilities is BATCH-copy/resizing.

I can go into the Batch menu, select an entire folder of pics, or select certain ones, point to a destination folder and select a size reduction algorithm, and it instantly makes copies into the new folder at the new lower filesize.

Priceless. (and free!)

Anyway, a typical JPG pic imported into PowerPoint is usually still quite beautiful at less than 100k, sometimes FAR less.
