I'm 38 years old and trying to get pregnant for more than 3 years. I've tried four rounds of Clomid and three times IUI, it all failed. I took birth control pill for 6 years and stop using it for more than 6 years. I never get pregnant before. My husband and I did see the infertility specialist and we did all the tests. We are all fine after all the test, except my husband's sperm mobility is a little bit low, but doctor said it's not a big problem. By the way, I have endometriosis. I did a laparoscopic surgery in 2005 to remove one fibroid and one ovary cyst. But I'm good now, doctor said I don't have any problem now, except he doesn't sure if there still some scar there because of endometriosis. My question is is that possible for me to get pregnant in my case? Why it's so difficult for me to get pregnant? My sister get her first baby at age 38, one of my other relative got her fist baby at age 40. But for me, why is so difficult? Is that because of my age? Is that because of my endometriosis? I plan to do IVF. Is that help? I pray for having a baby every day and waiting for the miracle. But it never happen. I'm so disappointed. :(

I'm sorry you're having a hard time, Kathy.

Sometimes infertility is "unexplained" meaning there is no medical reason to be found between the couple.

Your age and endometriosis history, as well as your husbands sperm mobility may be slowing down the process for you both.

Trying for a baby can be very stressful, which also has a negative effect on your body. Try and relax, treat yourself a bit and hopefully it will come to you soon.

Keep seeing your doctor so he can monitor your fertility concerns.

Good luck!
