View Full Version : My family thinks I am on a path leading towards jail!

I am 23 years old. I have started to do things that I have always wanted to do since at least junior high. Some of the things that I am doing, my family is noticing and they are threating to turn me into the police. I live in an apartment with my 29 year old sister. I think she is telling my parents some of the things that I am doing. The following is a short list of what I have started to do:
1)speed while driving
2)drink (drank and drove 2 times. Nothing happened)
3)carve the "f" word into bathroom stalls on really, really bad days
4)have stollen a few items (sister found this out)
5)got a tattoo (family moritified)
6)found that I love to set things on fire (the bigger the better)
... the thing that bothers my family the most, is that my sister (and this is what makes me mad) went snooping in my room and read my diary. She told my parents the things that I wrote (things about murdering people, never have, but it is the details that scared them). Are they correct that I am on a path headed to jail or not?

Jail, maybe, psych ward, definitely.

You like to burn things and you steal.

You need help.

I just read the info from "waterdreamer". This makes me so mad!! There are two diffs. My age is 23 not 25. I have been living with my sister, but the situation of me staying in my room is the same. I have lived with my sister for about 2 months. I hate it!! I will not move back home either!! This "waterdreamer" is my mother!! They both crossed the line. It just proves that I can't trust anyone in my family!!

Apparently you both live in the same household because you have the same IP address.

It shows that your mother is worried about you, that's what it shows.

They didn't cross the line, they wrote on a question answer site, just like you. You yourself are asking the same question your mother did.

Apparently you both agree, that you're heading for jail.

The question is, is that what you want?

Alty, they are both posting from the same IP address, so this means they are posting from the same household.

Just saw that.

Great, another troll.

Isn't school back in session yet? :(

FYI... I am staying at my parents home for the week. It is my fathers 50th birthday! This is why the IP address is the same!

You're staying for the WEEK in a house that you refuse to move back into because of a birthDAY?

Anyway... stealing, enjoying burning things, vandalism, and writing about murdering people= you need help.

Unfortunately yes. There is something going on almost everyday. I will be so happy to get back to my own room (even though I am renting w/my sister), at least I am in a different state than my parents. I don't get a long w/my sister, but as long as I can avoid her and don't have to talk to her/tell her anything about my day, then I am OK around her.

OK, then my advice is get through with this week. When you get home, get yourself into counseling. And then check back with us so we know how everything works out for you.

You need to stop and take a good long hard look at how you are effecting others and yourself. You can't go through life with a I'll do whatever I want and hate my family for not ''being supportive'' of my attitude.
Your mom is worried sick and she wants to be able to feel like she has a daughter she knows,
Not some loose out of control cannon that she worries sick if she is going to end up in jail with a next bad choice.
You need counselling if you can't start getting your thoughts back on the right track and making wiser choices.
Your moms greatest fear may be having to go to the morgue to ID you. She knows you are out of control and she can't even have a decent conversation with you to try and ease her fears.
