OK so I went to jail 2 years and 2 months ago.. not sentence but I had no one to get me out so I had to remain until my court date which was 9 months away. I got out at one point thanks to some very good samaritans and went straight into rehab for anxiety and depression. While I was in rehab I was served with custody papers and an order of protection against me and my then 4 month old son. I was to go to court the day after I got out of rehab. However, my son's grandfather paid off bounty hunters to pick me up on some bogus charge so I would miss the court date. The father was awarded full custody and the order of protection but here it is over a year and half later and they will still only allow me supervised visits with my son's grandmother. What can I do to fix this? How long is the order of protection in effect? And what are the requirements I need to fulfill so that I can get custody back of him?

They should have told you the conditions when they made the order.
There is no way for us to tell. You will have to call the court and ask.

You could possibly have to go to domestic violence classes and parenting classes, have a good job and your living conditions to their satisfaction
