I have a deed from my great great grandfather which states the property is
The Northwest quarter section twenty one, township 10 range 7. I recently hired a forester, and gave him that information. He returned and said that land belonged to someone else.
I can see where there are thirty four acres apparently cut out and is now in someone else's name. I had a title search done, but nowhere does it mention this acreage being taken out.
There are four acres taken out in one spot and one acre taken out in another location, but nowhere does it mention these acres. How do I go about challenging this?

The first thing you need to do is get a title search performed. Then you'll know if you have a claim to challenge.

I have had a title search done on my great grandfather's estate and it does not show that piece being taken out. So now you mean I should also have a title search done on that piece which was taken out without appearing on the title search?

Yes. If you think that piece was part of the original estate then you should have the title search performed on that piece. The search will show the current owner and how it came to be theirs.

Thanks. I have looked at the property card. I currently belongs to a Darby. Before that, it belonged to a Freeman. Before that it shows as Shaw Estate. On part of this parcel there still stands an old shack. My grandfather gave one of his nieces an acre to live on, she married a Shaw and he built that house.
Also I hired a forester last month and told him to go to the northwest quarter of section 21, township 10, range 7. This is the description of the property on the deed when my great grandfather bought it. The forester went, but came back stating that property belonged to someone else. There is nothing on the title search stating this piece has been removed.

You have to have a title search done on the parcel you're questioning to see where Shaw got it from. If a title search can't turn up a valid chain of title then you may have a claim to that property.
