I have a countertop that is formica and I'd like to change it to a stone line composition. I understand there is a product that is in a liquid form (like paint) that I can apply to change the formica to look like a stone surface. Does anyone know what this product is and whether it is a strong enough surface to withstand the heat/cold of a cabin through winter with no heat?

Thank you so much for your time!

Maybe something like this is up your alley. Transforming Old Formica Countertops (http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf370385.tip.html) It would hold up as well as any painted surface inside the cabin. You may also be interested in a Rust-Oleum product called Stone Creation, Google it.
