WE have two rescue cairn terriers. One is 6 years old and we have had her three years and causes no problems. We have another cairn we have had for three weeks, she is 1 and 1/2 years old. She and other cairn got along fine, We put them together in wired cage and no problems.
Then after three weeks -----the other day the new dog did not poop when we took her outside, so I put her in the cage, she proceeded to poop in cage.
I changed bedding, that night she pooped again.
Yesterday I put the divider in the cage, and last night she pooped again. From what I have read, it seems she is mad because of the original caging and now she is acting out against the divider as she is extremely socialable and loves to be held, etc.
Sounds like we need to take away the beddings and make the space smaller until this stops?
