I have a nieghbor who has a middle size dog who looks part greyhound but not sure but this dog is so skinny you can see his spine poke out of his back his ribs stick out also... I have watched this dog eat and I know he is being fed.. why would this dog be so skinny?? And what can be done to help this dog gain wieght.. :confused:

Even if the dog is part greyhound, they run skinny and are supposed to look like that. It is genetic.

It's not your dog. If you know he's being fed then there's nothing else for you to do.

If the owner isn't concerned with the lack of weight gain, then you shouldn't be either.

The only thing you really can do is express your concern to the owner.

Have you expressed your concern to the owners?

The dog may have a medical condition or simply is not up to date with his worming tablets.

A friend of mine had an old horse that would not put on weight no matter how much she fed it.
She had so many people reporting her to the authorities for having a mistreated horse when really it was receiving the best of care.
