I have had some old coins given to me, been a while ago now and I decided to figure out what they are.

The first one, I have 2 of. It looks like a lion wearing a crown holding a sword, and a man on the other side. The letters on these coins are not in english. The side with the man on it has this written under it: First letter/symbol - what looks to be a 1 or L or I
Second letter/symbol - looks like an upside down A
Third letter/symbol - has a little circle with a small line underneath it going
Down, its connected to the circle.
Fourth letter/symbol - looks like a sideways S
Fifth letter.symbol - looks like a 2

I have 3 more very old looking coins. One is quite tiny with what looks like a cross on it, with dashes at the end of the cross points, though I can see only 3 sides the left side of the cross is gone. Its also got small dots around it.

The 2nd one is a little bigger. It has a mans head on it looks like he has either a helmet on or has something around his head or just long hair, on the other side looks like someone sitting down their legs going to wards the left.

The 3rd I can barely tell, so at this point I won't ask about this coin.

I have been searching alphabets all day for the one coin and couldn't find anything. With the other 3 coins only success I had is I think the one with the cross on it could be a Byzantine coin.

I don't have a camera that will take photo's I tried and it didn't work. But if anyone has seen something similar or could help me with the letters on the one coin, id appreciate it.

Hi, Chasilver!

Would it be possible for you to post images of both the obverse and reverse of them on this thread? Doing so would be helpful.

Thanks!
