I am getting my tongue pierced on Tuesday where can I find a spacer for a tongue ring. Also if I find a spacer can the piercer use that as my barbell. I'm not supposed to have facial piercings for my job?

If you aren't supposed to have facial piercings for your job, wait till they try to communicate with you after the piercing and your tongue is slightly swollen. You won't be able to talk properly for a while. Please follow all guidelines to keep that piercing from becoming infected.

You can either have the tongue piercing.
Or your job.

Which do you want more?

You might want to clarify what your employer defines as "facial piercing." A tongue stud isn't as visible as a nose stud or eyebrow ring.

Also, your speech will return to normal within a few days... that is, if it swells up at all. When I got mine done, I went and ate chicken wings afterwards - no swelling whatsoever.

I would be calling them and asking them if a tongue piercing is accpetable.

I used to work at a place where we weren't allowed to have "facial piercings" that included your tongue.
A girl I worked with was ordered to either take it out or hand in her resignation.

If they do agree, then it is different for everyone, like "this" said, she could eat straight away. I went and watched a friend get his done and all he could mumble was "ice cream" which he ate for about 3 days.
