My friend wants to be a singer, she is starting a band with her best friend, her best friends is a good singer and so is she but she won't believe anyone because her sister told her she was rubbish.

She wants to go to a singing school but she won't ask her parents because she is scared they will laugh and her sister has already told her she is rubbish at singing, so she won't sing in front of anyone. She has kept it a secret for 3 years but she is finding it is getting very hard for her to hide it. She is very scared that they are going to laugh in her face and say yeah right go for something else.

Do you think she should tell her family or hide it more

Tell her that following her dreams is what she needs to do and not listen to people who are jealous enough to discourage her.
