I am now 5 days late on my period. I felt like I was going to get it the day that I was supposed to but the cramps and aches have slowly tapered off with no sign of my period what so ever. The only premenstrual symptoms I still have are breast tenderness and very mild back discomfort. I haven't been more than 2 days late on my period in over 9 months so this is unusual for me.
I also had a pregnancy about a year and a half ago and when I was 2 weeks late on my period I took 2 home pregnancy tests and they both came up negative. I went to the doctor a week later and found out I was pregnant, but I miscarried soon after. I think home tests are unreliable for me for whatever reason.
I took a home test 3 days after my missed period (which was 2 days ago) and the first one came up negative but the second one didn't work I think because there was no line in the control window to show that it was working. They were pretty cheap tests too so I don't know if that affects the quality of the results.
I don't have health insurance currently so I want to put off going to the doctor for as long as possible in hopes that I will get my period. I just want some opinions on whether you think I could be pregnant or not. Thanks!
