My friend has a big screen Panasonic TV. Not sure if it is LCD or plasma.
Quite often, when a commercial comes on, the video flickers rapidly and there are some horizontal lines. The audio is OK.

This can occur during regular programming, but less often.It seems to happen when there is a transition between scenes.

It also happens when the Aspect is set to STRETCH. If we use the Univesal Remote and quickly switch to another aspect (Normal, Wide, bars etc.) the flickering stops. It is likely to restart when we go back to STRETCH. The problem occurs on both HD and standard channels.

Of course, this might be a problem with the Satellite receiver and I'll have to explore that next. It also has Aspect change capability.
