First if you say donations, you will have to be a non profit, are you an established charity ?

If not you would be a re-sale shop and can ask for free items, but they are not donations.

So you will need a business license, a resale tax number, a corporation set up as a non profit. And so much more.

You need to set down with an accountant or CPA for a start
