I have a question for whomever knows about orders of protection on this forum. I posted awhile back that a neighbor of mine was beaten up by another neighbor. Since the original beating, this person has violated the order of protection 4 times and has been arrested 4 times.

Tomorrow, she must appear on the "harassment" charge (which in NYS is the beating) in court. She is bringing several neighbors who think she's a saint to the court date. Here are my questions:

Will the neighbors be allowed to speak on her behalf? NONE of them were witnesses to what she did.

What could the Judge give her for the harassment charge? What about the subsequent violations of the court order?

I'd appreciate any information I can get! Thanks...

Any more in my state they do not want to hear from character witnesses, if they didn't see the harassment they don't want to hear from them. IDK the Judge just might let them have their say but the Judge should stick with the facts.
