View Full Version : It hurts

Why is it, the girl always loses what she once felt for the guy, and she's aloud to joke about breaking up or leaving, but we can't
Why is it that she says she loves me but she doesn't want to be in a relation, or she doesn't feel the same way about me , like what we said or what we went through doesn't ever matter

Guys do this, too. It happened to me, and it's happened to a lot of people of both sexes on here as well.
You're not alone in your hurt. Sometimes people... just stop. Stop caring. Stop calling. Stop everything. It doesn't always have to be because of something you did. They just don't feel the same way anymore. So the people that still care have to reel from the loss and we end up trying to rationalize why someone would want to hurt us so bad, or how someone could just stop caring about a person that loved them so.
But trying to rationalize such things only makes the hurt worse. We have to accept that we will never fully know why someone functions a certain way, and move on. It's not easy, but it's something that has to be done. When one relationship doesn't work out, that just means there's someone else out there that's waiting to meet you and be the right match for you.
Keep your chin up. I'm so sorry you're hurting this way, but it does get better with time. Healing process can suck sometimes, but it's essential. Just remember that you are not alone, and there are plenty of people here on AMHD that understand what you're going through and want to help you cope.
Good luck, friend.

She says she still loves me, but doesn't want to be in a relation ship, wants to be just wants to be friends
Just friends, those words are worse than f*** sh** and any other word that's not supposed to be said
Why would someone want to be just friends with you if you just broke their heart
This isn't even the first damn time she's done this to me, oh no, it's the fourth
I want her back but I know it won't happin, she says she still loves me, but I know she's just saying that to calm me down or convince her self she still does
I'm never hurting anyone, no matter how I feel, I talk about it, and it makes things better, I've been hurt too many times to let it happin to someone I care for

I am very sorry she's hurting you like this. You're way too nice for someone to be so willfully ignorant of your feelings.
But as much as you probably don't want to hear this I think it's for the best. She's hurt you 4 times; this is the perfect opportunity for you to get away from her and heal, and then find someone that won't treat you this way.
People all the time say "Oh. let's be friends" or similar things because they somehow think it's what we want to hear to make things better.
I hope you take this opportunity to get away from someone who blatantly disregards your feelings, and eventually find happiness elsewhere.
*hugs*

I think the I want to be friends is for her and not you.
If your OK with being friends her guilt drops.
Don't do it though - Have no contact at all and look after yourself. It's not easy but look at the advice on the front page.
I have been going through the same thing from what I thought was going to be impossible. It's taking time but I'm getting there and so will you. Good luck

Obviously, she doesn't like you anymore.
Maybe it's because you are intolerent of everyone else. That's a major turn off.
Maybe it's because you poke fun at her ex's. That's like saying "you choose losers!"
Maybe it's because, well, a lot of things. It's over, and that's all there is to it. The best you can do is move on. And, "just friends" is possible, if you would participate. By the way it seems you reacted, that would seem that you lost your chance though.
Tell me, is your name Kevin?

Think about it. She's broken up with you four times already. The saying is third time's the charm, not fifth, slapshot was just being sarcastic (I think).
Why would you ever think it'll work this time?
Face it, it's time to move on.

True, true, true.
Sadly, I think they may be made for each other. They both have issues.

You ever heard the saying "fool me onec shame on you, fool me twice shame on me?" How many times are you going be a fool? Stop being a fool in love because this girl doesn't want a relationship with you and you showed and told you this how many times?
You have to know when to throw in the towel and get out there and a buy a new one. Right now your hanging on to nothing.
Btw, if a joke can break up a relationship then the relationship wasn't strong enough to begin with--also it depends on the joke because some jokes are tastless.

That's great! I've always been jealous of people who are in fickle relationships because one person is not in love with the other, it puts a spontaneous edge on relationship.

Acctually we were kind of going through a rough patch that had nothing to do with eachothers personality, she was having troubles with her home life having verry asian and traditional parents, so she wanted to go on a break but I wouldn't have it
