If your mom wants a divorce then there isn't much her husband (your stepfather?) can do about it.

As for her half of the land... if it is awarded to her in the divorce, she can do whatever she wants to with it. Selling it and using the cash for something else always proves to be a winning solution.

Your posts would be less confusing if you would say "my mother" instead of "I." Yesterday I couldn't understand (as you know) how a 7th grader could be renting an apartment and getting evicted.
