I took my 5 yr. old Sylvania TV to an authorized repair shop because the set wouldn't come on. When I got it back, the remote wouldn't turn the set on, or off, like it did before I took it in. I have to turn it on by hitting the power button. The remote will tune in channels 6,23,40,41, but will not turn the set on, or off. What could be the problem? Thanks.

Im not expert but it could be the batteries.
