Ok don't know when the movie was made or who by but the plot that I can remember is
A family decide to foster dogs from puppy stage and teach them the basic skills as these dogs are to go on and help others with disabilities. The daughter of the family gets attached to one particular dog (I think it's the first dog) and when its time to pass the dog over to its new owner she decides to run away with the dog to her relations house where she arrives very late in the evening/ night. By that stage her parents are going out of their mind and their relation gives them an earfull of allowing her to go off like that. The next day the dog is handed over to the new owner while the daughter is at home. It is commented by the organiser of this program that the daughter went very rebellous after that but thankfully the parents continued to foster the dogs.
Near the end of the movie the daughter is now approaching college if not finished and has returned home and the dog that she had when she ran away has since been retired from its duty and the family have been given him back as a present. The daughter is exstatic and film ends.

I don't have a clue of the name of it but its been bugging the hell out of me for the past few months and Google searches haven't shown anything.

Can someone please give me the name of the movie or point me in the right direction.

Ps I think the dogs are labradors
