 :(

I was told by the doctor I'm not pregnant due to a urine test... but a blood test for an std stated that I was pregnant(negative for std's thank god)... due to high levels of hcg at the time... and I haven't had my period since July... I'm having many simptoms of pregnancy like widening, bloating, tenderness, and sensitivity. What's wrong with me if I'm not pregnant? I don't understand at all... :( :(

If you want to be pregnant bad enough, the brain sometimes can trick the body into thinking the it is pregnant. I think it's called psychosomatic. Get a second opinion.

Yes, psychosomatic pregnancy can happen, but is unusual. Psychosomatic pregnancy will mimic pregnancy, however, the hormone will not be detected in the blood. Therefore, I am leaning toward a positive pregnancy test.

A blood (serum) test is much more accurate then a urine test. HCG is detected more easily in the blood than the urine.

I would get a second opinion if I were you, and as soon as possible. Maybe ask for an ultrasound? That is what I would do.

If you don't want to ask your dr for a referral then you can always go to the er and kind of fake a bladder infection. I know it's kind of underhanded but it does allow your dr to save face. Just a thought.
