My 17 years old son is feeling depressed from 3 months.he is in 17 th class.Now he don't want to go to school and feeling himself for not going school he try to hurt himself. He is taking psychiatric treatment also. Please help.

What exactly is his mental disorder? Is the depression a result of the disorder, or the disorder itself?
