Sorry if this is in the wrong topic, I'm just not good with the internet or anything. I was just wondering whether I should see a doctor or if I'm just being stupid? Well I get really nervous over stupid things and sometimes I sweat too. For example, I get nervous about crossing roads and ill do anythnig to avoid it or going to the shop. With people I suffer most because I just have lost all confidence. In classes I go bright red when asked a qustion and my heart beats faster and I start to sweat. When a person talks to me I blush and get nervous, whoever it is! It doesn't matter. My grades are slipping because I take time off school. If we have to speak in class I start shaking. Its really embarrassing. Im scared to speak to people so I have little friends. I don't even speak to my family now because I'm scared of saying the wrong thing. I don't attend job interviews because I know ill mess up and stutter. What do you think?

I would say yes, time to see a dr. your anxiety is having a negative affect on your life. Maybe a counselor would help. They might be able to teach you how to deal with your anxiety and help you build yourself confidence.

Yes, I think that it would be really helpful for you to speak with a doctor.

If it was just one thing you might be able to cope, but it sounds as if there are a range of things triggering your anxiety.

The doctor can refer you to a counselor, a psychologist or even a hypnotherapist and you can begin to work through what's happening.

Do speak to your parents though, I'm sure they would want to know the distress you're feeling.

School,meaning collage?

How long has it been since this started?

Without knowing those answers I would still say seek help, you are not alone in feeling this way, many people suffer as you do,and with help, they return to a 'normal' life.

That amount of social anxiety would be considered high for most people.

Hope this helps,
Ken
