I am 17 and had just been put on medication for strep throat, the doctor told me that the medicine would most likely cause a yeast infection. Well after three weeks, I got a yeast infection and had some light bleeding. Before I noticed that I even had a yeast infection, I had sex and the condom broke. Now my period is late. I took medicine for the infection, is there any way that the medication could be causing my period to be late? I am also on birth control but I never remember to grab it when I'm running out the door so I have been missing some days and taking them at different times during the day. Is there any chance I could be pregnant or could this all be due to the medication?

Not taking your because at the same time all the time and missing pills can through your cycle off. I recommend something like setting an alarm on your phone and keeping them in your purse or something so you can't forget. So it could just be that. But antibiotics can also make your because less effective. So, since the condom broke, it's possible you are pregnant. And even when because is taken correctly (same time, every day) it's still not 100% effective. So missing pills isn't going to help it be anymore effective.
I'd take a hpt if I were you.
