I am a new PC user, having been forced to switch from a MAC to take a course. I just downloaded IE 8. What a mistake! It freezes constantly, forcing me to restart my computer several times an hour.

I'd like to get rid of it and go back to IE7. When I try to install IE7, the computer will not allow me to do so, because I have IE8 installed. How can I accomplish this?

XP or Vista?

Xp
-go to control panel, add/remove programs and uninstall IE 8

Vista
-go to control panel, programs and features icon, look for IE 8 and choose unisntall

By uninstalling IE8, your system will revert back to the previous version of IE that you were using.

Should do it.
