I have a 6-quart pot that has a wobbly bottom. My husband and I bought the pot when we got married 35 years ago. Anyway, when I cook something in it on our electric solid surface stove, the pot twirls and dances around like crazy. Yesterday, my husband took it outside and beat it down with a rubber mallet, and it sat perfectly flat on the stove. But when I put beans on to cook in the pot, just as soon as it got hot it popped and became wobbly once again. It scared the ens out of me and I thought my husband was going to have to scrape me off the ceiling. It gave us a good laugh, but my pot is back to being wobbly again. Does anyone know how we can flatten the bottom -- permanently? Thanks a lot. Kat.

Hubby needs to make the bottom more than flat. He needs to make it concave. Do it while its hot. Be careful, metal bends more easily when its hot than cold. After 35 years you don't want to loose Hubby or the pot.
