I have a garage full of small appliances from a toaster oven, iron, food processor, all the way up to microwave. These were all bought in North America and are wired to accept 110V. However, I'm moving to China at the end of the year and I'd love to be able to bring these with me without having to have 10 transformers lying around my house. Is there any way to rewire or convert the appliances themselves to accept 220 or to accept both 220 or 110?

Most of the devices cannot be converted to 220 -- at least not directly. That would entail changing the heating elements, the motors, and so on. The best you'll be able to do is "have 10 transformers lying around". There may be some items that have switches on the back (computers commonly have them, most of what you've mentioned will not).

If you have control of where your living, you can create a 120 V service and have 1 big transformer and main panel for the 120V stuff.

We had 460 3p, 208 3p, 120 1p, 277 1p, 240 1p and a couple of German voltages where I worked.
