I have a hunter cealing fan. It was installed in the house prior to me purchasing the house. The fan has worked properly for the past year no problems but now I can't get the cealing fan lights to come on. The fan works but the lights won't come on with the wall switch, the remote or with the pull chain. Any ideas as to why all the sudden the lights won't work but the fan part will. Thanks in advance for your time.

You have chains, a wall switch and a remote? Lots to check but start by verifying power in the wall switch box. Black is hot so confirm 120 v between the black wire going into the switch and then a ground wire or the box if its metal. Do not try to confirm power between the wire going into the switch and the one coming out of it. Back to you

Open the fan at the ceiling, and remove the remote receiver. Wire the fan without it:

Do the lights work from the wall switches/pullchains?
