Hello Experts. We bought a new dishwasher two months ago and just got around to installing it. When we finally got it in it is leaking between the pump and the motor a drip, drip, drip constant. My first question is it okay for the drain line to be looped up then ran straight down through the floor to an existing 2 in horizontal pipe. There is a lazy susan between the washer and the sink and we did not have a previous dishwasher in order to run the drain hose from the dishwasher to the sink we would have had to pull up the countertops? Please help.

The "high loop" should be OK, but I don't think you don't need it. You don't want the dishwasher to be able to siphon from the drain.

Just be sure you put a trap after the dishwasher discharge and install an AAV (Air admittance valve). The AAV will prevent siphoning.

Water doesn't travel uphill, but you need air to displace the water.

You probably can remove the toe kick board and run the drain hose under the lazy susan cabinet.

The drip is from where drain hose attaches to the motor. There is a wire-clip. Make sure it sits properly over the hose.
