How soon can a pregnancy test tell that your pregnant or not?

Also, do you have to get the exspentive ones or can any kind work just as good?

There are early test to predict a pregnancy five days before an expected period.

And there are test on the market that detect earlier than others because they can detect a lower dosage of HCG, the hormone present in pregnancy.
Not all the time these early test are reliable, depending on how much HCG your body produces.
The most recommended time to take a pregnancy test is usually after you miss a period.
There are some pregnancy test that can give you evap lines, I am not saying go spend a lot of money but research the different pregnancy test. I myself preferred first response, because it doesn't really have prob with evap lines, and I get a clear easy result.

I agree, trying to take a test too early isn't very reliable. They can give false negitives. Some girls bodys don't produce the HCG hormone right away.

So, I should just wait and see when my period comes or not? Which I'm not sure exactly when that would be.
I saw a website said, wait 10 days and a test should be able to tell you. Is that true?

Many tests can give an accurate reading 10 dpo, but the percentage for accuracy goes up closer to when your period would be due. You could test that soon and be one of the women that gets a positive result that early... or you might get a negative but still actually be pregnant, just more time is needed and you will have to test again later.

It is hard not knowing, so if you want to try a test early on go ahead, just be aware that a negative may not be the reality... you will still then need to wait and see what happens with your period. Hope it turns out how you would like it to...

You can by a early response test which costs a bit more but they usaully test right if you take them 5 days or less before you're period is suppose to come.

OK thanks,
I got a few test yesterday and now I'm going to wait a few more days to it gets closer to my period and take some.
I hate having to wait though because I just want to know if I am or not.
