So I'm 8 days late for my period... this morning I had spotted only when I wiped and I had really mild cramps for only about an hour or so then I was fine the rest of today. I haven't tried testing yet and I decided if my period doesn't start by tomorrow I'll take a test the next morning. What I'm wondering about is if it is possible I could be pregnant or if it's just my period coming on that late. I'm usually pretty regular, I'm on birth control but do not take it religiously and I do have unprotected sex. No I do not want any lectures from anybody I would just like some input please.

If you had sex, then yes, you could be pregnant.

Even if taken "religiously" there is no form of birth control that's 100% effective.

Get the test. Make sure to use first morning urine as it's more accurate.
