Hello,

Florida summers at 95-degrees are terrible, especially when your air-conditioner stops working in the middle of it. Here are the symptoms:

- It's connected to a gas line. The heat works well, but when the cooling is turned on it blows out room-temperature air.

- The fan on the outside unit is blowing air upwards. The air is cool (not air conditioned). I wish there was a way to channel this air into the house.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Help! The house is 88-degrees right now!

Is your compressor turning on?
Could be a bad capacitor... or might have a freon issue.

Is there an easy way of checking if the compressor is turning on? I've got the terminal block open right now, where the 120VAC comes from the house to the unit and all the voltages seem to be OK.

Freon seems like a possible solution. Just trying to eliminate all possibilities before making a service call. Thank you, again.
