Got this idea after talking about where I lived and posting some pics...

Would love to see everyone's favourite photo (or photos) of where they live.

If you don't want to give away your location just post a picture of your favourite place in general.

This is mine:
The Cataract Gorge, located about 10 minutes from my house.
It's pretty amazing swimming in the fresh water, when you go around the corner under the bridge you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
It's the deepest gorge in the southern hemisphere, the water is deeper than the hills around it.

http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/23/82/0e/cataract-gorge-swimming.jpg

And... This is Wineglass Bay... Takes about 2 hours drive to get there from my place. It comes close to Unkys Mauritius beaches but a lot colder! Haha

http://www.colesbay.com.au/gfx/wineglass_bay.jpg

They don't have to be personal photos, just Google it!
Post away... please :D

Jul 7, 2009, 09:27 AM
Yup, incredible but true. I heard in the past the colours were more distinctive, nut over the years, they fade. There are lots more, too many to post. A single search will bring hundreds of nice pictures! I just posted the places in a post in the castle.

Definitely Deception Pass bridge at Oak Harbor Washington!

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lMhG-gXv_pM/SfhSCMEmD-I/AAAAAAAAALE/SUce9EFizhU/s320/deception_pass_bridge.jpg

We used to play under the bridge even though it was illigal to do so :P

Jul 7, 2009, 09:33 AM
Wow, that's really beautiful Jennie.

We used to do the same at the Gorge, there were no rules about not going under the bridge but I have seen a LOT of people jumping off the rocks into the water and hurting themselves.
A friend of mine had her nose pierced and she jumped in and hit it on a rock... she hit it so hard the piercing went through her lip!

The one with the flowers is right outside my office window. It's fuzzy because I took my camera (that was inside with the AC) out to take a shot of this sunrise... the humidity fogged up my lens and it was too hot to wait for it to "un-fog!!"

This is my most favorite place ever. A few hours North of where I live. My grandparents cabins on a lake. The water is so clear you can see the bottom up to 15 feet deep.

Wow... lovely places and I do mean all of them. Hard to choose when you have that many choices. :)

HC I think I loved your fogged up camera photo... looks like a good effect for the scene outside your office.

Would love to take a walk around here...

Here are my boring tired eyes view of my Burgh!

The closest thing to an island is the first picture. It is about two miles away and they play Regae on Sunday nights.

The other is part of a mural in the Rocks that my daughter helped paint. She is the one in the red sweat shirt.

I'd do more pics but all the ones I can find of PNC park and other places are ones people posted on flickr which doesn't download into other sites.

I NEED NEW SCENERY IN MY LIFE !!!!

This is a photo of the back beach at Blairgowrie (south east Australia, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria) taken at the weekend with my mobile phone. Very wild and woolly, and the rock pools are to die for when the tide is out. In summer you could just lose yourself exploring and swimming in them!

I don't mind letting people in on knowing my location so I'm going to post a whole album of pictures from my favorite location. Its not more then half hour drive to an hours drive from me.. a little place called Cape Split. You can look off the tip of it across the bay to the other side... (we're pretty much an island with a little attached to land where I live {nova scotia}) it takes over four hours to hike out and back!

RANDOM PHOTO TIME!

Here are some random pictures...

First one was taken from my back porch a month or so back... pretty, but scary!

Second one is one of my favourite things to do... go to dog shows... And yep, that's my other half and my little brother, sadly that is the ONLY photo I have of Vaughn (!! )

Third one is another dog show pic, that's dad with Kade when he was a puppy...

Lastly... the awesome tent!! Some friends went halves with us at Christmas, we went to a beach down the coast... it was horrible! So windy that the sand was whipping up the dunes, it STUNG so bad!
