Hello all. I have a briggs & stratton 12 HP engine 281707-0137-01. I am rebuilding the carburetor.
I will be replacing the seat in the carb. Not sure the correct method of removing the seat. Can anyone direct me so I don't ruin the carb? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
The manual directs you to use one of the thread-cutting screws from the smallest Briggs flywheel puller; the on used on walk-behind mower engines. You can use the old seat and screw with a vise to carefully press in the new one.
