I know a woman that lost the love of her life a few years ago. Her outlook on love was so depressing. She was difficult to be around. She thought life was unfair.
It just so happened that a few months ago, she found out she has cancer. In the spiritual world, if your loved one dies, and you cry out for you to be together with him again, can that cause an unexpected terminal illness as a way to bring the spirits together again? Is it just a coincidence?

I believe the mind can be a very powerful thing. I don't think people really wish illness upon themselves but I think the pain of loss may have something to do with it.

Thank you for your responses. I consider myself fairly spiritual, but I also like to find logical solutions to things. I'm only human.
A small part of me was feeling guilty because the woman that has cancer was my former co-worker. For various reasons, she made my life difficult after I started dating one of her ex's. I tried my best to co-exist peacefully with her, knowing that one day, "what goes around, comes around." It feels like that day has come, and I just feel sad that this is how it is.

They do say that some people, especially people who were very very close to someone that has passed over and left them can die of a broken heart. Ive heard that happen many times, especially when older of natural causes. Cancer and other illnesses can be brought about by stress and pain can exaggerate something that is lurking underneath anyway. Not sure I'm explaining this properly.

There is a good book that explains this sort of thing well it's called 'Anatomy of the spirit' by Caroline Myss

I believe people get what they wish for but it is usually more their outlook on life manifested into habits that lead up to whatever happens.
Like my old boyfriend was a drug addict. He always cried that he didn't think he could live without his mom. Then his son died and he got worse with taking drugs to calm his depression.
Then about 4 years later he died within the same week as his mom.
So basically I believe people don't take care of their health and then the coincidences happen in a sense.
