My lock unlock buttons do not work. The red light turns on when I press the buttons and I tried using both the ones I have so it isn't the battery on the remote. I tried the fuses and they are in tact, so it is not that. I can hear the door inside trying to lock and unlock but nothing happens. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it, that did nothing. I called the dealership and they said I would have to bring it in and it would cost 100 to look at it. HAHA! No thanks. They also said it might be the lock cylinder. I can fix cars but I'm spent for ideas on this one. I HATE ALARMS AND ANTI-THEFT. I can't even drive my own car because of this BS! Please, any help here would be awesome. Thanks.

Before doing any electrical troubleshooting, always ensure the battery is fully charged. My bet is that the battery died in the heat.
