Please, help me! I keep replacing my alternator belt and for some reason it just keep on breaking. I replace the alternator and it's still breaking. Could it be the harmonic balancer pulley? In situations like this, it's usually bearing seizure. If you installed a rebuilt alternator, the quality of the bearings may have been poor. I would rotate the alternator pulley and see if a bearing has seized. If this is not the situation, check pulley alignment and belt tension.
