I have a 2001 honda civic lx, today I went to start the car at about noon, and I might add, it was about 106 degrees, so I turned on the a/c, it came on for a few seconds, but for those few seconds it blew unusually cold air for it not to have been started at all today, than it just suddenly quit,so I started checking fuses but could not find the problem, can someone"Please Help"!-c.z.

. Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

Flow is likely battery (+), to under hood fuse box, to ignition switch, to under dash fuse box, to A/C switch, to compressor clutch relay, to compressor clutch.

. Check that the compressor clutch engages. If not, check the compressor clutch relay, likely located to the right of the condenser fan relay. Both of these relays are likely mounted just to the right of the condenser fan.

. Check the sight glass for freon bubbles. If there are bubbles, with the engine and compressor running, the system is low on freon.

Try checking your a/c relay.
