Hi

I have a question...
I live in London in a shared flat with 2 others.
We have all signed a contract with an agency.
They want to get me out of their flat and since I have signed a contract I have rights but I don't want to stay after the treatment they have been given me.
I talked to the agency and they said that I would have to find someone to take over my contract.
I have found someone, but now the 2 I live with are interfering.
They might take over the contract themselves but cannot afford to pay me back my deposit atm.
So the thing is that I will be moving half July and am not paying them an extra penny whatsoever.
So I was wondering if we could go to a lawyer and sign some papers that are confirming that they'll pay my rent for the next 2 months until the new tenant move in which they have found.
They might be up for this but is that secure enough for me? Will it cover my rights to my money even though I'm on the renting contract for a couple of more months..
Thank you

Your agreement with them is separate from the rental contract. If they agree to cover the rental until they find a replacement, and its put in writing then you are protected. If they renege, you may have to pay the ladnlord directly and then sue them under the terms of the contract you enter into with them.
