:(:(I have an old gas furnace (air ease) the blower motor won't turn on for the heat or the a/c. I hear it click when I switch from the two and the a/c and the heat are working but the blower is not, I'm currently laid off so I need cheap fix it answers thanks,JOE,P.S. my dogs chewed up the wire (Low voltage) outside to the a/c but I fixed it,(Rather simple) it worked for a short while then the blower stopped working ,maybe coincidence...

If the chewed wires were a problem nothing would turn on... they run the 24 volt part of system. Maybe the fan or capacitor is dead. Do you have a multimeter?

If it can check microfared check the capacitor. Make sure power is off to unit, pull the leads off capacitor and check it. The capacitor should have a rating on it either mf or uf. Ifor instance 10mf... if it reads 20% or more less than the rating change the capacitor.
Also try and see if you can get the blower motor fan to move manually. Reach in and see if it moves freely or if it is stuck or hard to move.
This will tell us which direction to go.

The fan moves very nicely by hand , but where is the capacitor, is it on the blower , because I don't see anything attached to it, there is a transformer on the inside of the furnace and on the outside of the furnace
