I have spent months trying to fix a problem whereby Flash Player will not install. When downloaded it says installation was successful but I still can't view any sites requiring Flash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download Revo Uninstaller from this link, and install it:

Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs, Solve uninstall problems (http://www.revouninstaller.com/)

Locate Adobe FlashPlayer in the list of items to uninstall. There may be more than one, so be prepared for that. You're going to want to uninstall all of them.

Revo Uninstaller has various "levels" of uninstall capability. "Built-in", "Safe", "Moderate", and "Advanced". You want to select the "Moderate" or "Advanced" setting. Let Revo Uninstaller do its thing. It will clean the registry of all Flash junk. This is necessary to "start fresh" because there's something weird that's making FLASH not work correctly.

Finally, download a copy of CCleaner

CCleaner - Home (http://www.ccleaner.com)

And run its "clean" function. Also run its "registry" scan at least twice. Delete everything it finds (save a backup for about 2 weeks, just in case -- but you probably won't have to restore it).

If you're using Internet Explorer, go to TOOLS | INTERNET OPTIONS | ADVANCED (tab) | RESET (button) to reset your browser to its default settings. If you're using another browser, reset it to its default settings.

Finally, go to the adobe site:

Adobe - Adobe Flash Player (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP)

And reinstall Adobe Flash.

Good luck!

OK I did all of this and it installed fine but when the PC is restarted it is no longer installed. What now?

Reinstall Adobe Flash and anything else that you need.
