Hello,
This may sounds like a dumb question, but I just want to double-check with the tax gurus here.
I got married in November/2008, my wife is still waitting for her visa in our home country. So she has never been to US yet.
This year I elect to file "Married filing jointly" with my wife and submit a W-7 with our tax return. In W-7 form, we checked "e" (Spouse of US citizen/Resident alien). I am US permanent resident.
So my question is: Even my wife has never been to US, she is still qualified for a ITIN number, am I right?
Thanks in advance for your help!
