I have a 15 year old son that lives in a different state than me. I would like to know how I would terminate my rights to him. There is a divorce decree and I am entitled to 30 days a year with him. I have tried several times to be involved with him and be a part of his life, But he wants nothing to do with me and would like it if I would disappear. His mother doesn't want any further involvement from me. So how do I do that? How do I terminate my rights to him?Any advise or direction would be greatly appreciated!

What do you hope to gain by terminating your rights?
You will still be responsible for child support, so nothing will really change.

There is a Sticky note regarding this at the top of this Forum; please read it because it contains very helpful information on this subject.
You can't terminate your rights unless there is a step parent waiting to adopt. You are financially responsible for this child until he is 18. Your relationship with the mother has nothing to do with your duties towards this child; even if he doesn't want to see you. He doesn't get to make that decision.
What do you hope to gain anyway by terminating your rights?
