Toshiba tc 5yr old worked fine yesterday then today sound but no picture

You'll have to provide a whole lot more information than that to be able to trouble-shoot it here. Obviously, something failed between yesterday and today. If you have sound, you know that you have a signal to the TV. To generate picture, you need to amplify the video signal, the video circuits all have to work; the horizontal and vertical sweep circuits have to work; the high voltage power supply has to work, etc.
