Hi to all. The repair center told me that my echo weed wacker, straight shaft, needs the entire carb replaced, that they couldn't rebuild it. He wants to charge me 80 dollars... how much would a new carb cost and where could I get one? Thanks to all!

I would also ask, how much is a brand new weed wacker?

Have not met a carb that could not be rebuilt unless water destroyed it. Sounds as if you have a parts replacer instead of a mechanic.. . Different strokes.
Order the rebuild kit should be cheap set up a small work bench with lots of light and do it yourself.
