How do I stop my ruminating thoughts about my ex girlfriend that abruptly severed our 5 month relationship. We were "in love" and she emailed me one day stating that she didn't want to be my girlfriend any more". She couldn't give me an explanation as to why. Now she has cut off all forms of communication and is angered by my civil attempts to get back together, or at least have a "friendly" ending to our relationship.

She's actually threatening me with Severe actions" if I try to call, write, contact her family of friends in any manner.

I can't stop thinking about her and trying to figure out why she took such cruel and abrupt action. I'm on Wellbutrin, 705mg 2x' a day. How do I get her out of my head and get my life back. This has been going on for almost 3 months now. I'm depressed, cry frequently and can stop thinking about her.

Help me get my life back, please!

You have to force yourself to do other things to keep your mind busy. At first it will be difficult, but fake it until you make it. Join a dating website... get out and meet people. Read a book, join a volleyball team... bowling... pool... darts...
Be glad you didn't waste years of your life. It is tough I've done this myself and it can make you very sick.
