A camel is a horse designed by a committee

It's an ancient proverb.

It's meaning, in my words, would be:

That so many people try to throw their own ideas to create one great thing, but fail to do so.

A camel is much slower than a horse, less aesthetically pleasing-- it just doesn't compare to a horse.
