Move X to one side of the equation and isolate it.

1/8x - 2/3 + 1/8x = 5/4x - 5/6
\frac 18 x - \frac 23 + \frac 18 x = \frac 54 x - \frac 56
Note that
\frac 18 + \frac 18 = \frac 28 = \frac 14
To simplify the right side of the equation:
\frac 23 - \frac 56
The common denominator is 6
\frac 23 = \frac 46
You'll have
\frac 46 - \frac 56
You take it from there.
