I am 19 years old living in Etobicoke, Ontario. One night about a month ago me and 3 buddies were walking around the Etobicoke area and settled at a school where we hung out for a couple of hours(from approximately 10pm-2pm). As we were hanging out there 3 others came who were pretty intoxicated, one with a guitar. This man tried playing the guitar and got pissed off because he was drunk and couldn't play it, went on a rampage and broke the window of TDSB van. As we dropped off a friend at his building, the cops came right behind us and told us we are being charged for mischief under $5000. We told him it wasn't us but he didn't care, according to a witness in a nearby building they saw only 4 people there when there were in fact 7 people in all.

Since it is mischief under $5000 I am allowed to have a paralegal represent me in this case as it is cheaper then a lawyer, but I'm wondering if there is any other action I can take.

If I was in need of an operation, it WOULD be cheaper to have the nurses aid do it, but I don't think I'd live through it. If you need a lawyer, get a real one.
