I am dissabled my only source of income is supplemental security income, I pay child suport . Even though it is a low amount I still can't afford it. I have no outher source of income.if I try to go see my kids my wife will jump on me and I don't mean a little slap or pushing I mean she will attack me and draw blood out of me like its coming out of a faucet. She tells people I don't want to see them. This is not the case. I love my kids but I do not know what to do. Also if I go over to her house she threatens to have the police put me in jail just for spite. And the can't visit me were I live for the fact that if they were to break something were I live at my mothers it would be world war three around here. So the question is if I give up my parental rights to my kids can the child support payments be took of me in Alabama?

You can't give up your rights and even if you could, it wouldn't stop child support.

If you have a visitation order and you go to see the kids, there is nothing she can do to stop you. If she physically assaults you, have her arrested.

As for your kids not visiting... you have issues with your mother that you need to resolve. Kids break stuff and if their grandmother cannot accept that... well... she is a horrible grandmother.

If you want a lawyer to answer your question, go hire a lawyer. My signature is a legal disclaimer so you cannot sue me for anything.

Frankly, I don't care if you like my answer or believe that I am wrong or have no life.

It's the correct answer and even if you did hire a lawyer, he would tell you the same thing. The only way you would be entitled to give up your parental rights is if the mother were remarried and her husband wanted to adopt the children.

No court in the country is going to allow you to give up your parental rights to get out of paying child support. They would much rather throw you in jail.
